ACE has commissioned a review of its security resources hosted on the Collection Trust website to ensure the content is relevant and responds to the current challenges the sector is facing.

Arts Council England (ACE) has worked with experts in security to ensure that the advice provided is pragmatic and able to support museums and venues managing risks items they have borrowed under UK Government Indemnity.

Valentina Sabucco, Manager Security and Protection Advice at ACE commented: “I am very thankful to all those who contributed to this review by sharing their precious feedback and expertise which have significantly enhanced the content of these resources. These documents cover a wide variety of topics from glass and frames, to CCTVS, working with external contractors, intruder alarms and much more, and can be consulted by both architects involved in design planning, and in house teams working to protect cultural assets. Thanks to the support of Collection Trust, the updated resources have now been gathered in one place on their website under the heading “Security Advice” which can be accessed at the following link - ACE Security Advice - Collection Trust.”

All documents are open-access and can be downloaded at any time. If you need a different format, please get in touch with ACE Customer Service enquiries@artscouncil.org.uk
