About this event
This session will offer a basic introduction to the Spectrum collections management standard.
It will cover:
An explanation of the layout of a Spectrum procedure including definition, minimum requirements and suggested procedure.
The relationship between the Spectrum standard and Accreditation.
A brief overview of the nine primary procedure definitions.
Signposting to further information.
By the end of the session, attendees will:
Understand what the Spectrum standard is.
Understand the role of the Spectrum standard in relation to museum Accreditation.
Know where to find more information and guidance.
This session is presentation style with a brief Q&A section at the end.
It is for museums and museum professionals in England and is suitable for beginners or those in need of a refresher.
Please note, we only allow two individuals from each organisation to attend to ensure access for as many museums as possible.
