Opportunities Form

This form is for Midlands-based opportunities only

Advertising on the MDM website is free. You can advertise salaried roles, freelance opportunities and volunteer/ trustee roles that are Midlands-based.

It is your responsibility to confirm that the opportunity is in line with best practise (you should refer to the MA Salary Guidelines and Recommendations, Fair Museum Jobs and Working with Freelancers as appropriate).

You must complete your name and email address for us to publish your opportunity. This will not be published unless it is included within the role details or application process. Once you have completed the form we will acknowledge receipt within two working days and publish the opportunity within a further working day.

Adverts for unpaid internships will not be accepted.

Please note: the opportunity summary box will not include hyperlinks when published, do write links/ email addresses in full if required.

Paid roles

  • All adverts for paid posts must show a salary/ salary range and provide a closing date

  • You must confirm paid roles meet the MA Salary Guidelines as a minimum

  • We will not accept or publish adverts for paid roles that do not meet this

Freelance opportunities

  • All adverts for freelance opportunities must show a budget

  • Adverts must include a closing date

  • You must confirm that the freelance rate is comparable to the MA Salary Guidelines and Recommendations (once you have taken into considered that a freelance day rate covers costs such as such as pensions, training, tax and insurance).

  • We will not accept or publish adverts that do not meet this

Volunteer/ trustee roles

  • The words Volunteer or Trustee should be included in the role title

  • The role description should indicate what is expected of the volunteer

  • Volunteer role descriptions should be proportionate and reasonable for someone to undertake on a voluntary basis

  • If the role recruitment is ongoing please set a closing date 12 months in advance
